Position: Computer Science Intern
Location: New York, NY
The program:
We are looking for creative, hardworking individuals with softeare engineering, Computer Science or MIS backgrounds with interest in learning financial, investment and risk management concepts. The Internship program offers extensive training on different technologies: SQL Server, Data management, ETL concepts, R, Qlikview/QlikSense and Full Stack Web development.
The training is very project oriented and provides great opportunitiy to dive into real-world use cases and prepares the individual for dealing with problems and pitfalls in software design and development faced by most organization. The program is a great opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about real world investment and risk management concepts.
Requreiments:
  • Solid background in Software Engineering, CS, MIS or Data Science
  • Strong Interest in learning about finance, investment/risk management
  • Working knowledge of database design concepts & SQL
  • Programming languages: C#. Net, JavaScript.
  • VSTO and MS Office add-on Development experience
  • Frameworks: Angular. JS or React. JS, HTML5/CSS3
  • Knowledge of Matlab/R and /or Python
  • Good math foundation (linear Algebra, Sttatistics & calculus) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of business intelligence framework (QlikView or Tableau) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Equity markets (stock/options) is a huge plus.

The company provides an investment grade portfolios Analytics, risk managment and quantitative research platform powered by a state of the art data science & business intelligence platform and open standard analytical engine. Our clients covers a wide range of investment and risk management professional buy side firms.
