Summary:
Responsible for preparing for and facilitating product selection that drives Fosun Pharma USA long-term pipeline. Perform market research and analysis, seek input from the cross-functional team, and make recommendations to the Company its R&D portfolio product selection. Create sales forecast for each product selected for the portfolio. Manage the overall product portfolio decision making process and monitor portfolio project progress by providing periodical updates of portfolio status. Participate in investment and BD&L deal evaluation. Assist CEO to manage operational activities of Fosun Pharma USA.


Responsibilities:
1. Identify new generic opportunities: Identify brand drugs coming off patent and manages the process of compiling and analyzing the product, competitive intelligence, market and other trend data. 
2. Create product forecast: Interacts with Product Development, API Sourcing, Legal, Patent Counsel, Market Research, Manufacturing, Sales/Marketing, Finance, and Business Development to identify specific patent issues by product, formulation and bioequivalence complexity/difficulty, development readiness, manufacturing capabilities, opportunities for paragraph IV, type and extent of API sourcing issues, and brand sales forecast. Based on above factors, estimate generic penetration rates, price points, and market share and create sales forecast for the product. 
3. Evaluate business and corporate development opportunities: As a member of the deal team, evaluate product and portfolio strength and growth potential of acquisition targets. Develop forecasts to assess valuation. 

4. Monitor portfolio progress: Develops specific milestones for development of each product. Once products are selected, coordinates with R&D group in China to incorporate development progress into portfolio management tool and provide periodical portfolio status update.
5. Portfolio gap analysis: Interact with various R&D, manufacturing, and commercial groups within Fosun Pharma throughout the year to understand where gaps in the pipeline are developing and how to close them. 

6. Strategy setting: Participate in strategy development through advocacy for programs and projects in their area. Requires cross-functional communication and negotiation. 

7. Operational management: Assist CEO to manage day to day operational activities of Fosun Pharma USA.


Key Performance Indicators:
1. Strategic thinking, understanding the dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry.

2. Strong analytical skills, ability to pull data from various sources and synthesize a comprehensive understanding of the market for a certain product.

3. Understanding of technical barriers, regulatory pathways and commercial hurdles of products.

4. Ability to work with a cross-functional team and facility productive discussions.

5. Attention to detail, manage operational activities of Fosun Pharma USA


Qualifications:
1. BS/BA. Ph.D. in related scientific field or PharmD preferred. 

2. At least 3-5 years of professional, related experience, including at least 4 years of experience in the generics industry.
