AP Assistant
Herndon, VA; 1-year experience
Description Summary:
This position handles the vendor invoicesprocessing and assisting the AP Accountant. This position will workinternally at our Herndon, Virginia Corporate Office and with vendors and theirinvoices for processing and resolving any discrepancies. There will beopportunities to assist with other accounting areas and projects as needed.
Major Tasks & Responsibilities:
  1. Process AP of operating expenses timely to include setting up new vendors,  tracking invoices from vendor, review invoices and process in system.
  2. Analyze, research and resolve vendor discrepancies.
  3. Work with others within the accounting department to prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closings.
  4. Other various accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar.
  2. Minimum 1 year hands-on working experience in an accounting position preferred, but not required.
  3. Professional verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook.

Regional Sales Manager, Carrier Business 
Los Angeles; 3-year experience
Description Summary:
This position’s main focus is to develop new prospects and work on existing customers to increase sales of China Telecom America’s products and services in the Carrier market. We seek someone with extensive experience, strategies and judgment to plan and accomplish sales goals.  Successful candidates will be familiar with a variety of marketing concepts, know-how and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Director of Carrier Business, the Sales Manager will be responsible to increase revenue for China Telecom Americas and will be expected to meet, and also encouraged to exceed aggressive revenue targets while accomplishing the following:
  1. Focus on Carrier sales, ISPs and ASPs in the North American market, to meet revenue target.
  2. Identify sales leads, work closely with various internal departments to provide total solutions, manage sales processes, close sales deals, and negotiate terms and conditions.
  3. Review and organize business case documentation for bid reviews and/or other requests requiring approval from senior management.
  4. Take overall leadership on contract negotiations and coordinate executive, legal and operational resources to drive process to timely completion.
  5. Develop and document formal business plan that clearly analyses and defines the target customers, and articulates the strategies and tactics to develop business with them.
  6. Manage and document adequate sales pipeline (estimated 5X annual revenue target).
  7. Provide accurate weekly activity, and various monthly and ad hoc reports to senior management.
  8. Act as an escalation point for customers to remove any and all obstacles to developing business in the target markets.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education; preferred concentration in Telecom, IT or business-related discipline.
  2. Minimum of three years sales experience selling to Carriers/Telcos, ISPs, OTT players.
  3. Solid understanding of global telecom industry / IT solutions and sound knowledge about the market trend.
  4. Experience in selling global network data solutions e.g IPLC, IPVPN, IP Transit, IDC, with proven selling techniques and strong account management skills; able to conduct prospecting and manage customers independently.
  5. Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales objectives and quota.
  6. Robust individual network with telecom industry community.
  7. Ability to establish executive engagement at ‘C’ level and develop excellent client relationship at all levels of organization.

Sales Engineer, Strategic Account and Channel Business

Description Summary:
The Sales Engineer will be the technical liaison and key advisor working closely with the team’s Sales Managers and Network Operations to ensure strategic customer and channel customer’s requirements are met during the pre-sales phase.  Pre-sales activity includes but is not limited to, support in contract bids and network solution design.  The Sales Engineer is also recognized as the product advocate, assisting in streamlining support processes of CTA products and Services.  This open position is for our Herndon, VA or San Jose, VA office.
Responsibilities:
  1. Serves as a primary technical liaison for sales managers, customers, pricing team, project managers and Network Operations.
  2. Aggregating customer’s technical  requirements directly through sales, or through a customer visit, and designing a solution around those requirements.
  3. Identify technical solutions and define technical requirements for service implementation, understanding customer’s existing network, key locations and technical needs.
  4. Presenting, demonstrating and communicating the technical capabilities of the company network and associated products and services.
  5. Presenting the technical design/RFP in a complete and well-illustrated fashion to the appropriate sales representatives and/or customer.
  6. Keeping the sales force appraised of technical updates, and similarly keeping the network group and product development teams aware of forthcoming technical requirements.
  7. Conducting product and resource check with China Telecom Provincial organization as well as CT Headquarters.
  8. Utilizing existing IT software (BSS, CRM etc).
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecommunications or similar field
  2. Minimum 5 years of related sales support experience in telecom or WAN management.
  3. Global telecommunications experience is preferred.
  4. Current telecommunication and technical data services background, experience with general IP products and services, such as IP Access, MPLS, VPN and IT Security for Enterprise.
  5. Effective presentation skills.
