白宫即将易主，奥巴马的政府已经准备好收拾走人，这两天都在陆续做总结演讲了。
米歇尔·奥巴马也在最近的年度学校辅导员颁奖活动上，发表了自己作为第一夫人的最后一次白宫演讲。

米歇尔的演讲风采我们都见识过了，这依旧是一篇感情充沛的演讲，在场很多人听得热泪盈眶。
先来看看视频，开头表扬和感谢了很多人，正经演讲从5分半钟开始。

演讲的主题是赞美教育工作者的辛勤工作，宣扬接受良好教育的重要性，以及鼓励年轻人实现他们的美国梦。
其中有不少值得分享的心灵鸡汤：
❶ You see the promise in each of your students, you believe in them even when they can't believe in themselves, and you work tirelessly to help them be who they were truly meant to be.
你们看到了每个学生的潜力，即使他们对自己失去信心，你们仍然相信他们。你们不知疲倦地帮助他们成为自己想成为的那个人。
❷ No matter where they're from, how much money their parents have, no matter what they look like, or who they love, or how they worship, or what language they speak at home, they have a place in this country.

❸ If your family doesn't have much money, I want you to remember that in this country, plenty of folks, including me and my husband, we started out with very little. But with a lot of hard work and a good education, anything is possible, even becoming president. That's what the American Dream is all about.
如果你的家庭并不富裕，我想让你记住，在这个国家有很多人，包括我和我的丈夫，我们开始的时候也没有多少钱。但是只要努力工作，接受良好的教育，任何事都有可能，你甚至能当上总统。这就是美国梦。
❹ I want our young people to know that they matter, that they belong. You hear me, young people? Don't be afraid. Be focused. Be determined. Be hopeful. Be empowered. Empower yourselves with a good education, then get out there and use that education to build a country worthy of your boundless promise.
我想要我们的年轻人知道，他们很重要，他们属于这个国家。听见了吗？年轻人，不要害怕。要专注，要坚定，要满怀希望，要自强。用良好教育给予自己力量，当你进入社会后，能用这种教育来建设一个配得上你无限前途的国家。
❺ When you are struggling and you start thinking about giving up, I want you to remember something that my husband and I have talked about since we first started this journey nearly a decade ago, something that has carried us through every moment in this White House and every moment in our lives. And that is the power of hope, the belief that something better is always possible if you're willing to work for it and fight for it.

米歇尔即将离开白宫，这位美国历史上第一位非洲裔第一夫人都为美国人民留下了什么呢？我们一起来盘点下。
白宫菜园
米歇尔最有名的事迹莫过于“白宫种菜”。
2009年，奥巴马夫妇入主白宫后的第一个春天，米歇尔在白宫南草坪（South Lawn of the White House）上开辟了一块空地，将它变成白宫厨房的“菜篮子”。

之后的每年春天，米歇尔都会邀请小朋友们到菜园种菜。

这个菜园后来也成为米歇尔对抗肥胖的著名运动Let's Move!的缘起。
This garden does more than provide vegetables for the White House kitchen. It's a centerpiece of Michelle Obama's "Let's Move!" campaign to encourage healthier habits, and its designed to inspire Americans to plant their own gardens they can use to grow their own healthy foods.
这个菜园的作用不仅仅是为白宫厨房提供蔬菜，它是米歇尔“Let's Move!”运动的核心，这一运动鼓励健康的生活习惯，目的是激励美国人民自己动手种出健康的食物。
现在，这个菜园已经有140平米大了，里面种了生菜、香草、牛至、迷迭香、洋葱、大葱、黄瓜、梨树，还有白宫御厨们点名要的青椒、芥菜以及浆果等55种蔬菜，每年的产量超过455公斤。

园内的蔬菜还供给白宫附近的慈善机构“米丽娅姆厨房”（Miriam’s Kitchen）使用，给那些无家可归的人带去健康和温暖。
米歇尔甚至出版了一本书《美国式种植》（American Grown），讲述她在白宫的田园生活。

为了纪念米歇尔，菜园的门口立了一个牌子，上面写着：白宫厨房花园，2009年由第一夫人米歇尔·奥巴马创立，希望为我们的孩子建立一个更健康的国家。

即将离开自己一手创建的菜园，最后一次在菜园劳作时，米歇尔伤感地说：
This is my baby. And hopefully, this will not be the last planting. Hopefully, there will be other administrations who come in and they take up this project and continue to make this a part of the White House tradition.
这就是我的孩子，但愿这不是最后一次种植，但愿入住白宫的其他政府会继续把这项工程进行下去，把菜园变成白宫的传统。
不过，种菜好像不太符合新任第一夫人梅拉尼娅的style？

时尚影响
作为第一夫人，米歇尔的着装风格一直备受赞誉。她的衣橱中既有价值上万美元的奢华服饰，也有几十美元的平民货。
据统计，近年来米歇尔为她穿过的服装品牌带来了总计约27亿美元的经济效益，成为美国时装产业幕后最有力的助推人。

《华盛顿邮报》称：
Obama has been a pronounced and polished advocate for American style, seamlessly moving from custom-made evening gowns to mass-market fare. She has made the fashion industry swoon with her willingness to embrace the work of some of its most eccentric players, such as Thom Browne , and its lesser-known talents, such as Isabel Toledo and Duro Olowu.
从私人定制晚礼服自由切换到大众服饰，米歇尔被外界公认为是美国平民风的践行者。她对桑姆·布郎尼、伊莎贝尔·托莱多、奥罗武等平民设计师和小众品牌的偏爱更是使美国时尚界为之心醉神迷。
2008年，《今夜秀》的访问中，米歇尔身着开襟衫加一步裙，主持人杰伊问米歇尔，你这套衣服花了不少钱吧？
米歇尔淡淡回答：
Actually, this is a J.Crew ensemble. We ladies, we know J.Crew. When you don't have time, you gotta click.
其实这一套都是J. Crew（平价美国休闲品牌）的，女士们都知道这个牌子，没时间还可以在网上买。

J. Crew集团的股价像被电击一样，第二天就上涨了8%，至周末上涨了25%，一年多以后累计上涨了175%以上。
Vogue时尚编辑Andre Leon Talley称赞米歇尔的时尚选择：
Michelle Obama embraced everyone. She embraced black designers, Asian designers, European designers. … She was very democratic in her choice of clothes.
米歇尔·奥巴马拥抱所有的品牌，黑人设计师、亚洲设计师、欧洲设计师……她在服装的选择上非常民主。
专门研究第一夫人历史的Allida Black说米歇尔“let the country see her in a way that not only opened the White House up, but had a major impact on American culture.”（她的着装不但让全国人民看到白宫是开放的，而且对美国文化有着重要影响。）
米歇尔参加2008年就职典礼就选择了华人设计师Jason Wu的设计，此后米歇尔也曾多次演绎过Jason Wu的设计。

2013年奥巴马携第一夫人米歇尔参加就职游行，米歇尔身穿英伦设计师品牌ThomBrowne，不过搭配的却是平价的J. Crew皮带与鞋子。

米歇尔还穿过30美元的Gap（左）、35美元的H&M（右）。

演讲魅力
米歇尔最令人难忘的还有她的演讲魅力。
她的演说真实富有感染力，每一场演说都会被网友疯狂转发，连奥马巴都说：
When Michelle talks, I get a little misty
米歇尔一开始演说，我就会泪水模糊。
在奥巴马支持率下降，而选举又在即的关键时刻，米歇尔站出来以一席精彩的演讲赢得满场掌声雷动。

她说：
So when people ask me whether being in the White House has changed my husband, I can honestly say that when it comes to his character, and his convictions, and his heart, Barack Obama is still the same man I fell in love with all those years ago.

The Obamas also still own a home in Chicago.
