编者按：好不容易暑假回国了，很多同学肯定想帮爸妈搞定签证，让他们也来一场说走就走的旅行！
为父母申请的是B-2旅游签证，理论上来说最长的签证时间是十年，但是并不是每个人都会给到10年。给多长时间、能不能批下来都要看签证官的判定了。如果父母近期内没有去美国的计划，你只是想趁暑假帮父母办好签证，就需要让父母在签证申请时，表明这个意图。或者体现在《给签证官的信》中。如果办下来10年签证了，真的就可以说走就走啦，走之前并不需要任何签证相关的手续。
申请步骤：和自己申请签证类似，只不过不需要交sevis费
1.确保护父母照有效期需超出在美预定停留期至少六个月；
2.让父母去照相馆拍摄美国签证照片（照片格式为：51mm *51mm（2英寸*2英寸白底）并把电子版发到你的邮箱以备填写DS-160表格）；
3.填写DS160:

并打印出带有条形码“确认页”。

4.去中信银行 缴纳签证费用(160美元)：

一定要留好缴费收据的号码
5.预约面谈时间并打印面谈确认信：
需要:
护照号码
签证申请缴费收据上的编号
DS-160确认页上的十(10)位条形码编号

申请必需材料（一定要带好，装好。没有这些材料是不让进门的。）
1.一份预约单打印件

2.DS-160确认页打印件

3.一张最近六个月内的近照

4.所有新旧护照

支持性材料 （面签官没有问题时，并不需要，只是备不时之需。）
1.学生的护照复印件、I-20复印件

2.学生的成绩单：从学校网站上打印出来就可以

3.学生ID复印件：就是学生的state ID和学生卡

4.学校国际中心提供的官方邀请函：可以发邮件问一下学校的international student office，如果没有的话，可以自己写一份。模板在下面。

5.户口本、家庭合影、父母结婚证：很重要，证明你们的亲属关系

6.房产证、存款、工资卡、收入证明、纳税单等：证明不会留在美国

7.行程表和其他有关旅行计划的说明：同样，为了向签证官表明去往美国的意图。
PS：根据小编个人经验，东西准备得再多，也比不上填表完善的DS160表，面签官通常是在屏幕上的DS160表格上看出了问题了才会开始查阅你手头上的资料，所以这个DS160表务必要填好哟。

面签当日：
1.提前至少半个小时到达美国驻华大使馆

2.过安检，不要随身携带任何电子产品, 包括手机，也不要带背包。只带跟签证申请有关的文件，其他物品可以存放在车上或者周围的存包处。

3.跟随工作人员的指示排队，到指定窗口递交DS-160表格确认页和材料等待指纹扫描和签证面谈
面谈时：
1.向签证官或志愿者说明不会英语，要求中文服务

2.说明父母夫妻二人一起去美国，可以申请一起面谈

3.向负责排队的工作人员和签证官说明自己此次赴美的目的是探亲+旅游，出示校方官方邀请函或《给签证官的信》

4.说明你们已经订好往返机票，确认不会滞留美国

5.必要时出示你们的存折、公司资产、经营证明、房产证明，以及学生的各种材料

6.被要求录指纹，按签证官指示做
